Ender
Its been quite a while since my last post and things have been moving pretty well. I just got back from a two week holiday in Crete and even before then i was in London for the New Designers showcase in Islington, and even before that i showed my work at my degree show in Aberdeen so its been a busy time.
And what can i say about the end of this project and the end of Life at Grays art school?
Well all in all I'm happy with how the project went, even though now that i have the ability to take a step back i feel there a few things that didn't work that well, but its all part of the learning process.
In the last two months my work has been seen my a lot of people and that in itself has been daunting considering I've spent the last year stuck in the corner of our studio way up in Aberdeen where lets face it we don't get to see much design, so it can be hard to rate your work against your peers until you actually get down to London. On that note I'd like to say i was happy that my work managed to hold its own amongst the other students work, I also did notice that my work was very different to the other things on show which i was happy about.
One GREAT thing which has come from this project had to be the amount of press my TwisT has received. At the Degree show it won the Arts & Heritage Prize and since then it has been yankodesign's second most viewed design piece of July, been featured in too many websites from too many countries, been featured on Core77 and is soon to be published in Brazil's Gloss magazine as well as other big magazines in Russia, Ukraine, Estonia and Italy.
The chair has received mixed reviews but to be honest that has the point. Its not a piece which solves a problem we might have but it questions what problems we might have and what the possible solution COULD be. Its basically a conversation starter, and the conversation is now worldwide.
Here are some of the best online press bits (printed press section will come soon)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff in the PD department for helping me out along the way and to my class for not being losers. and a special thanks to John Marshall from the University of Michigan for helping me with the whole online presence thing.
Thanks

Interim Exhibition
Not had much up here over the last few weeks. Most of my time has been spent working on my exhibition space.
'Natural_Design' research book
Well here are the images...
I have structured the space so that my research sits on the shelf and with the 'b-side' projects in the middle whilst the introduction sits at the top. Simple!

Sorry
I would just like to apologise for the lack of new posts being put up on this page recently. The thing is I've been a tad busy with my concepts.
